The Mirror Doesn’t Get the Final Say

ree

Be honest — how many mornings have you stood in front of the mirror picking yourself apart?

You notice the lines, the stretch marks, the curve of your stomach. You see tired eyes, messy hair, and the reflection of a woman who feels like she’s constantly falling short. And somewhere in the back of your mind, you whisper, “What happened to me?”

But here’s the thing — the mirror doesn’t tell the truth. It only shows the surface.

It doesn’t see the strength it took to keep going when you wanted to give up. It doesn’t show the way your kids look at you like you hung the moon. It doesn’t reflect your kindness, your fire, or the quiet power you carry every single day.

The mirror shows a body. But my camera? My camera shows the woman.

The one who’s survived every hard thing life has thrown at her. The one who still laughs too loud. The one who’s softer now, but stronger too.

Every session, I watch women walk in unsure — tugging at their clothes, apologizing for the way they look. And then, hours later, they see their images and whisper, “Oh my god… that’s me.”

It is you. It’s just the version of you the mirror could never do justice to.

So the next time you look at your reflection and start tearing yourself apart, remember this: The mirror doesn’t get the final say. You do.

📸 Let’s show you what I see.

💋 You’re more than a reflection.

🔥 You’re art, and it’s time you believed it.
