Makeup Prep for Your Boudoir Session: Glow, Hydrate, and Slay

Your makeup is the finishing touch that ties your entire boudoir look together — and with a little prep, it can look flawless in every single shot. Here’s how to get your

skin and glam ready:

1. Book a hydrating facial 7–10 days before your session. Not only is this a relaxing treat for yourself, but a hydrating facial smooths and nourishes your skin, creating the perfect canvas for makeup application. Your foundation will go on seamlessly, and your complexion will radiate

on camera. Don't have the time? Pamper yourself with an at home face mask.

2. Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. Yes, seriously. Chug that water. Hydrated skin is plump, fresh, and glowing. It helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and gives your makeup a natural, dewy finish. Think of water as your secret beauty product that works from the inside out.

3. Tidy up your brows 3–5 days before your session. If you need a little brow shaping, do it a few days in advance so your skin has time to calm down. Clean, defined brows frame your face beautifully and make a huge difference in your photos.

4. Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize! Well-moisturized skin is happy skin — and happy skin photographs better. Apply a rich moisturizer regularly in the days leading up to your session, and don’t forget your lips. Soft, hydrated lips make a subtle but powerful impact in close-ups.

5. Bring your makeup inspiration! Do you have a specific look you’re obsessed with — a bold smoky eye, a soft romantic glow, or a classic red lip? Bring reference photos! Our makeup artists love creating a look you truly resonate with, and having inspo helps us tailor every detail to your personal style.

When it comes to boudoir, makeup isn’t just about looking good — it’s about feeling confident, empowered, and 100% like yourself. Prep your skin, plan your look, and get ready to slay. ✨
