Finding Time for Yourself

One of the most common concerns I hear from clients isn’t about what to wear, or how they’ll pose—it’s about time. More specifically, it’s about making the time.
Between kids, careers, partners, household responsibilities, and a never-ending to-do list, carving out even a couple of hours for yourself can feel overwhelming. Some clients tell me they struggle with guilt over arranging childcare or taking time away from family. Others worry they’ll spend the whole session distracted, thinking about everything waiting for them at home.

But here’s the thing: you deserve this time.
A boudoir session is more than just photos—it’s a few sacred hours that are just for you. It’s a chance to recharge, to reconnect with yourself, and to step outside of the roles you play every day. And the truth is, when you fill your own cup, you come back to your loved ones even more present, more confident, and more grounded.
Childcare? It can be arranged. Schedules? They can bend for a day. The laundry, the dishes, the emails—they’ll all still be there tomorrow. But this experience? It’s once-in-a-lifetime, and it’s something you will carry with you long after the session is over.
So if you’re stressing about taking time away, know this: you’re not being selfish—you’re setting an example. You’re showing that self-love matters, and that it’s okay to prioritize yourself, even if just for a few hours. And that’s a powerful message not only for you, but for the people who look up to you most.
Take the time. You deserve it.
