Wildfire Photography has been serving clients for six years, built from the ground up by a self-taught photographer with grit, vision, and a refusal to play small. What started as a one-woman passion project now generates multiple six figures a year and stands as a creative force in Sauk City. The Color Lab is a fast-paced, high-impact mini workshop designed for photographers who want to elevate both their creative skill set and their business foundations in one inspiring afternoon.
This workshop blends hands-on lighting education, portfolio-building shootouts, and a business strategy class — giving you everything you need to grow with confidence, clarity, and creativity.
We’ll explore constant light, intentional color, brand identity, and the foundations that keep a photography business strong and thriving.

1. Studio Shootout — Constant Light + Color
We’ll kick things off inside the Wildfire Studio — a fully dark, controlled environment built for creative experimentation.
You’ll learn:
• How to shoot with constant light
• How to use GODOX tube lights for color without gels
• How to shape light + shadows intentionally
• How to create mood, contrast, and depth
• Repeatable lighting setups you can bring to any session
You’ll rotate through curated shooting stations with models, giving you the chance to practice in real time and immediately build fresh, elevated portfolio content.

2. Speakeasy Shoot — Cinematic Vibes
Next, we’ll head to a nearby speakeasy for a second, completely different shooting experience.
Here you’ll learn how to:
• Adapt constant and RGB tube lighting to low-light environments
• Work with ambient + artificial light together
• Create cinematic portraits
• Capture editorial vibes in an atmospheric setting
This second shoot gives you variety, depth, and a richer overall portfolio.

3. Biz Basics Class — Creative Foundations
We’ll settle into the speakeasy for a relaxed but powerful business mini-class.
You’ll learn how to:
• Build strong, sustainable business pillars
• Run a simple but effective SWOT analysis
• Identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats
• Inject more you into your brand and creative identity
• Craft a unique, elevated client experience
