Expectations

How many times have you made a decision—not because it felt right to you—but because it’s what you thought someone else expected of you?
We’ve all been there. Carrying the weight of other people’s opinions, standards, or rules about how we should look, act, or live. It’s exhausting, isn’t it?
The truth is, those expectations aren’t yours to carry. They’re chains, disguised as “shoulds.”

You should dress this way. You should weigh this much. You should smile more. You should be more modest. You should be less loud. You should be anything other than exactly who you are.
But here’s the thing: the only person who gets to decide your worth is YOU.When you ditch the weight of other people’s expectations, you make room for your own joy. You start living lighter, freer, and more authentically. Boudoir is one of my favorite ways to experience this firsthand. It’s not about what someone else wants you to be—it’s about stepping into the power of who you already are. The moment you see yourself through a lens free of “shoulds,” you realize you’ve been enough all along.
So take a deep breath. Drop those heavy bags you’ve been carrying. You don’t need to live for anyone else’s expectations. This is your story, and you get to write it your way.
